Shakir Hossen, MBBS
Shakir Hossen is currently an MSPH student in the International Health Department studying Global Disease Epidemiology and Control. He received his medical degree from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet. Prior to attending Johns Hopkins, he worked for icddr,b and Projahnmo study group as a study physician on PCV10 Impact Assessment Trial in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
He obtained a Fogarty International Center (FIC) training grant entitled Research Training on Childhood Infectious Diseases in Bangladesh to pursue the MSPH program. He will do his practicum in Baltimore focusing on establishing a simplified approach to identifying pneumonia in pediatric patients using lung ultrasound.
