Sarah McKeown is an undergraduate student majoring in Public Health and Political Science and minoring in Bioethics and Social Policy at Johns Hopkins. Next year, Sarah looks forward to continuing to pursue an MSPH in Health Policy and Management. Her interests include health equity, chronic disease, and health system analysis. Born and raised in Alexandria, VA, she has had the opportunity complete several congressional internships with the Ways and Means Committee and will be interning in the office of Senator Kaine this Summer. Last year, Sarah was given the opportunity to travel to Uganda and as a 2017 GEMS student and gained invaluable experience assisting in the formative phases of the GECO trial. Currently, Sarah is a part time research assistant
for the Global NCD team.
