Nicole Robertson is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in a Public Health and Biology at the University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences. Her research interests are health equity, women’s health, health communication, and rural global health. Born and raised in Alexandria, KY, she recognized her passion for public health through her exposure to rural medicine. She traveled to Kabale, Uganda in Summer 2016 with the National Institutes of Health Minority Health International Research Training Program, where she researched women’s sexual and reproductive risk and gained invaluable qualitative research skills. She joined our team in Summer 2017 in Kampala, Uganda. She plans to return Uganda in the future as Rotary Global Fellow.
