Christian Roa was a research assistant at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care in the summer of 2017. He is a Miami native and currently a senior at the University of Florida studying biology. Christian has a background in agricultural science and has conducted his own research project through the UF University Scholars Program.
Christian has since developed a passion for medicine and joined the GlobalNCD team through the Johns Hopkins Summer Internship Program. He works for Florida’s student-run emergency medical response unit under the UF Division of Public Safety. He is also a peer advisor for students starting in undergraduate research at UF and part of AMSA’s Health Outreach and Education Committee. He enjoys skateboarding, running, and sketching.
