Catherine H. Miele, MD, is a post-doctoral fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She has worked with Dr. Checkley and colleagues in Puno, Peru since 2008. She was granted a Fogarty Scholarship as a medical student (2008-2009), then as a Fogarty Fellow (2014-2015), which helped her re-establish herself as a lead investigator in Puno. She is a board-certified Internist and Pediatrician and is currently completing her Adult Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Her research interests are in global non-communicable diseases, with a focus on clinical outcomes research.
