Carolyn Brown, BA
Carolyn Brown, MSPH, recently graduated from the Health Systems program of the International Health Department at JHSPH. Her focus within this program was health equity, community-oriented public health, and health systems strengthening. Born and raised in Michigan, Carolyn received her BA in public health and Spanish from Calvin College. Carolyn has gained international experience primarily in Latin America. Domestically she has been involved in management of harm reduction programs and HIV/HCV testing and counseling, both in Michigan and Baltimore. She was also a research assistant on a global road safety project for the International Injury Research Unit. Currently, she is living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and will be serving with the U.S. Peace Corps in Cambodia starting this fall.
