Andrew Nicholson, BS

Andrew Nicholson, MSPH, graduated in May 2017 with a Masters of Science in Public Health from the Department of International Health (concentration: Human Nutrition). For 6 months of the previous year, he assisted Dr. William Checkley’s study in Lima, Peru which is focusing on the role of the gut microbiome in pediatric asthma. Prior to Hopkins, Andrew received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Spanish from SUNY Geneseo. He then worked in a cancer research lab at Columbia University Medical Center. Andrew’s research interests include: obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and the intersection of human nutrition and non
communicable diseases.
